Ute Wingenfeld , German hair Expert, brings you her lifelong professional experience as a hairdresser and hair-stylist.
While studying in the Vidal-Sassoon Hair Academy in London , Ute's promising haircutting talents attracted the attention of the Academy's art director, who immediately offered Ute a further free training and a job.
Ute soon became a member of the Vidal Sassoon artistic team. She was responsible for developing new and interesting hairstyles as well as cutting client's hair.
The Vidal Sassoon Hair Saloon in London 's Bond Street is where the rich, famous and fashionable folk go to have their hair cut by the Elite and the Crème de la Crème of hairdressers.
Magazines like Vogue, Elle and many others booked Ute for fashion shoots and shows etc.
After her London period, Ute moved to Munich , Germany with a Sassoon team and inaugurated the very first Vidal Sassoon hairdressing saloon in Germany.
Ute acted as the technical director of the Vidal Sassoon Hairdressing Shop in Munich . This shop is booked full to this very day.
Later on in life, after completing her A-levels (Ute had to drop from school at the age of 13 in order to help support her mother and 4 other sisters in Post-war Germany), she moved to Paris, France.
At this time, Ute worked as a freelancer hairstylists for French fashion magazines, catalogues, fashion shows and photo-shoots.
Years later, returning to Munich , Germany , Ute fulfilled her childhood dream for higher education and received her bachelors' degree in political science.
While studying Ute worked as a freelance hairdresser for fashion shows and TV events like "The Bambi" Movie Awards - the German equivalent of the Oscar.
Ute was a high rated, much in demand hair-stylist for much of her professional life. She is a holder of a Master Hairstyling Certificate.
These days Ute teaches hair styling in the Horst Kirchberger Academy in Munich , Germany. Horst is Germany ’s leading makeup artist. Students of his academy are snapped up by the fashion industry.
